Snorkeling Klein Bonaire: 25-minute watertaxi from Bonaire
Snorkel an uninhabited island 25 minutes from shore
A watertaxi takes you from Bonaire to Klein Bonaire, an uninhabited island with a white sand beach and clear water for snorkeling, in a 25-minute crossing. You choose how long to stay (from one hour to a full day), and hop the return boat whenever you're ready. Snorkel equipment is available to rent on board, and a free guided drift snorkel departs at 10AM if you want instruction.
The experience
The watertaxi leaves Bonaire multiple times each day starting at 9AM, with departures at 10AM, 12PM and 2PM. The crossing takes 25 minutes and passes along the coast of both islands, so you see the water and landscape before you arrive. Klein Bonaire itself is uninhabited: no resorts, no crowds, just a white sand beach and the reef just offshore.
Once you're there, the snorkeling happens in clear blue water steps from the beach. If you want guidance, join the free drop-off drift snorkel at 10AM. Otherwise, you go in on your own schedule. Rent your snorkel set on the boat if you don't have your own. You can spend an hour swimming and exploring, or stay the whole day. It's your call. When you're ready to leave, simply catch the next watertaxi back to Bonaire. No need to book a return time in advance.
