The experience

The route starts with a morning pickup from your hotel in downtown La Paz and a drive to Copacabana, arriving around 11 am. You'll walk through the town and have lunch before boarding a boat to Sun Island. The afternoon is spent visiting the Inca Steps and climbing to Yumani, where you watch the sunset and have dinner. You spend the night on the island.

Day two begins with breakfast and a long trek across the northern part of Sun Island, moving through terrain that takes you past the Inca Fountain and other ruins. After lunch back in Yumani, you return by boat to Copacabana and check into a hotel for your second night. The evening is free to explore the town's nightlife and restaurants.

On the final morning, you visit the Calvary, a shrine where Catholic and local indigenous religious practices blend visibly in the architecture and offerings. After lunch, the guide arranges a cab to take you back to La Paz, arriving in the afternoon.
