The day starts with a drive to Harrison's Cave, located in the centre of Barbados. You board an electric tram that carries you down through underground tunnels into caverns lit to show off the geological formations—stalactites and stalagmites that have grown for centuries, and crystal-blue pools fed by cascading water. The tram does the descending; you sit and watch the cave unfold around you. After the cave, you head to Carlisle Bay on the south coast, where the water is turquoise and the sand is white.

At Carlisle Bay you board Tranquility Cruises for a 70-minute snorkel cruise. The boat has a glass-bottom section if you want to stay dry, a bar, upper and lower decks, and—for children—a waterslide. If you go in the water, the boat provides snorkel gear and life vests. You snorkel at one of six shipwrecks in the bay and swim with turtles, starfish, rays and other fish. A welcome drink is included when you arrive. The boat has washrooms on board, so the day is self-contained.
