The experience
The King Fahad Causeway is the bridge that connects Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and this tour uses it as the spine of the day. You start with pickup from your Manama hotel, then drive across the causeway into Khobar, where you follow the corniche along the coast. From there the route continues to Dammam, where you can browse the souk or visit a shopping mall before lunch (your choice, and you pay separately if you eat). The Heritage Village in Dammam opens at noon, so the timing lets you see it without rushing.
The second half of the day centers on King Abdulaziz World Cultural Centre, ITHRA, a major museum and cultural venue in Dammam. Entry is included, and a local guide who speaks English or Arabic walks you through the sites and explains what you're seeing. A coffee stop is optional. The return drive crosses back over the causeway to Bahrain, with drop-off at your hotel. The whole outing runs 6 to 8 hours depending on how long you spend at each stop.
Transportation is in an air-conditioned SUV with bottled water provided. The tour requires at least two travellers to run. Pickup from hotels outside central Manama or from the airport carries an extra charge. Entrance fees to the Heritage Village and ITHRA are covered. Any personal purchases, souvenirs or meals beyond the optional lunch are on you.
