Sit on the nets of a sailing catamaran while the sun sets over Nassau Harbor.

A two-hour sunset dinner cruise from Nassau sails a catamaran through Paradise Island Harbor with views of the Atlantis Resort. You board at the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal, fill your plate at a Bahamian-style buffet of ribs, lemon pepper chicken, salads and rice, and watch the horizon turn gold with unlimited domestic drinks in hand. The casual deck setting lets you perch on the nets or stand at the rail to photograph the light.

Step-by-step itinerary

Sunset dinner cruise in Nassau

  • Board catamaran at Paradise Island Ferry Terminal
  • Cruise through Nassau Harbor and Paradise Island
  • Admire views of Atlantis Resort
  • Watch the sunset over the horizon
  • Enjoy Bahamian-style buffet dinner
  • Drink from unlimited domestic open bar

The experience

The catamaran departs the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal and heads into Nassau Harbor as the light begins to drop. You'll pass the Atlantis Resort on the starboard side (the resort's towers and pools visible against the fading sky), and watch the sun sink toward the water from the open deck. There's no formal seating. The casual setup means you can move between the nets strung across the bow, the covered areas on the top deck, and the rail itself, so you're never stuck in one spot while the light changes.

Dinner is a Bahamian buffet served buffet-style on disposable plates: BBQ ribs, lemon pepper chicken, mixed green salad, pasta salad, peas and rice, and dessert. The bar runs unlimited domestic drinks (tropical drinks, rum punch, beer, wine, and soft drinks) throughout the two hours, so you can refill as often as you want. The catamaran stays open to the air. There's no air conditioning, which means you feel the breeze off the water but also need to dress for the evening temperature and wear comfortable shoes rather than heels.

All taxes, fees and handling charges are built into the price. Parking near the terminal isn't included, though a round-trip taxi ride is usually easier than hunting for a spot. Children as young as five can join. Anyone under 17 needs an adult with them, and you must be 18 to drink alcohol. The guide speaks English and will be aboard, though this is a casual evening rather than a narrated tour.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

What's the Atlantis Resort like when you pass it on the water?

The Atlantis is a large beachfront resort with distinctive towers and pools visible from the harbor. You'll see it clearly as the catamaran passes Paradise Island, and it's a popular spot for photos as the light changes during the cruise.

Can you move around the boat, or do you stay in one place?

What happens if you have a food allergy or dietary restriction?

The buffet menu is fixed, and the operator notes that special accommodations are not available. If you have allergies or dietary needs, check the full menu in advance to confirm the dishes work for you.
