The Experience

Wheelchair users can access the deck (one person per lift trip to the observation level, and a maximum of three on the terrace at once), and the site works for all fitness levels since you're riding, not climbing. Children under 14 need an adult with them. If you're planning to eat at the restaurant, book ahead; the café upstairs doesn't take reservations except for weekend brunch.

Weather can close the viewing platform without notice, so check the website before you go. Public transport gets you there easily, and the whole thing — up, around, back down — takes as long as you want it to. Most people spend an hour, some stay longer.
