You take the funicular up from Festungsgasse in the old town (the ticket is included), and step out into the Panorama Restaurant on the right side of the exit. Your table is set with views across Salzburg's rooftops and the mountains beyond. The menu offers a choice: sous-vide short ribs with potato gratin and grilled asparagus, or Salzburg trout fillet with parsley potatoes. Both come after a white wine soup with roasted almonds and warm bread rolls. A vegetarian option is available on request. You get a bottle of wine (red or white, 375ml) or mineral water with the meal, plus coffee afterward. Weather permitting, the dinner moves to the panoramic terrace from mid-April through mid-September.

After dinner, you walk into the fortress concert hall for the Best of Mozart program. The Salzburg Mozart Ensemble performs Mozart's "A Little Night Music" alongside works by other classical masters, all played by internationally renowned musicians. During Advent and Christmas, the program includes traditional Salzburg seasonal music. A glass of sparkling wine arrives during intermission. The concert takes place in either the Golden Hall or the Arms Hall depending on the season. The Golden Hall has many steps and no elevator, so mobility is limited there. You receive an evening-program booklet and a VIP aperitif before the meal begins.

The funicular runs from 30 minutes before dinner starts, and you must use it: walking up or down is not permitted with this ticket.
