The experience
The transfer departs Vienna at your chosen time and covers the roughly 400-kilometer route to Munich with one stop built in. Before you book, you select which site to visit for two hours: Hallstatt, Salzburg, Berchtesgaden Eagle Nest, Schliersee, Melk, or Mauthausen Concentration Camp. The driver will take you there, wait while you explore, and then continue to your destination in Munich. The whole journey takes about six hours, including the sightseeing break.
Your driver speaks English and knows the local area well enough to share insights into regional culture and point out details you might miss on your own, though he is a professional driver rather than a trained guide. The vehicle arrives clean and air-conditioned, with bottled water provided. Hotel or airport pickup and drop-off in both cities are included. Luggage capacity depends on group size, ranging from three suitcases plus cabin luggage for a sedan up to seven suitcases for a van. If you need a meal break during the drive, that can be arranged.
Entrance fees to the sightseeing stop are not included in the transfer price but can be added at checkout if you want them covered. Specialized infant seats are available if you're traveling with small children, and service animals are welcome.
