The experience

Can you actually shoot a bow from a horse without years of training? The answer is yes, and this session near Bockfließ proves it. You start on the ground, learning the basics of the horse bow and how to shoot, then move to riding without a saddle or bit to feel the horse's movement beneath you. The trainers build your connection with the horse first, because that partnership is what makes the archery possible. Your horse is chosen for its calm temperament and willingness to work with beginners.

Over the 4 hours, you progress from stationary shots to shooting while the horse moves. The bow is traditional (no sights, no mechanical aids), so you're learning to read distance and movement the way archers have for centuries. Most people walk away hitting targets from the saddle, which is the moment the whole thing clicks. The horses take your inexperience into account. The trainers do the same. Bows, arrows and horses are all provided.

What’s included
