The experience
The tour departs Brisbane and heads into the hinterland, starting at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve for views across the Glass House Mountains and Brisbane in the distance. From there you move through Montville, an artist village with cafes and craft shops, then to Eumundi Markets, which operate on Wednesday and Saturday with over 400 stalls of local produce and craft, or Eumundi Square on Friday if the full markets aren't running. The drive passes the Noosa River where you'll spot yachts and boats near the mouth opening to the sea.
Noosa Heads is the main stop for the afternoon. You get free time to swim at Main Beach, walk the upmarket shopping district, or take a scenic coastal walk through Noosa National Park where you can see wildlife and ocean views. The group stays under 21 people throughout, and the guide provides live commentary on board in English, so you hear the stories and history of the region as you move between stops.
The tour runs in all weather and includes bottled water and an air-conditioned vehicle. You'll need to bring your own lunch or buy it along the way. Coffee and gratuities are not included. Children from age 5 can join as long as they're accompanied by an adult.
Is this one for you?The guide speaks English with live commentary on board, so anyone comfortable following an Australian guide will hear the full stories and history as you move between stops. If you prefer to explore at your own pace without narration, a self-guided option would suit you better.
