The experience
The tour runs in the evening when the light and energy are best. You'll ride through backstreets and quieter routes that reveal what most visitors miss: creeks, wildlife like kangaroos and wallabies, street art tucked into laneways, and 360-degree views across the countryside. The guide narrates as you go, telling local stories and flagging places you might want to explore further on a second ride.
Wildlife sightings depend on the day, but the route is designed to pass through areas where you're likely to spot kookaburras, galahs and other birds. Kangaroos and wallabies are common. You might see an echidna, goanna or snake, though that's less predictable. The ride ends at the 1770 Headland for sunset, which is the reason the tour runs in the evening.
One rider per scooter, and you'll need a valid driver's license to ride. The tour suits all fitness levels, though you should be comfortable on a scooter for 90 minutes. If you want to add a stop at the Kangaroo Sanctuary, bring $10 cash for the entry donation. After the tour, the operator offers a second hire deal if you want to go back and explore the spots you passed.

Is this one for you?The guide speaks English and delivers commentary as you ride, so you need to be comfortable following directions and stories while managing a scooter on backstreets. This tour suits riders who want local knowledge and a curated route rather than exploring on their own, and the evening timing means you'll finish with sunset instead of chasing it separately.

Experience is preferred, and you'll need a valid driver's license to ride. One person rides each scooter, so you're on your own bike for the full 90 minutes.
What happens if the weather turns bad or sunset doesn't show?
The tour runs in the evening regardless, and the route covers backstreets and creeks as well as the headland, so there's plenty to see. Sunset at the headland is the finish, but the ride itself is the main event.
