A private 2-hour surfing lesson in Torquay with a live English-speaking coach, customized to your skill level and goals. All equipment (surfboard, wetsuit and lockers) is included. You can also bring your own board. Your coach picks the best beach and conditions for the day and focuses entirely on your technique and progression.

The experience

What makes a private lesson faster than group sessions is the coach's full attention on your technique, not the group's. Every session is tailored to where you are, whether you're catching your first wave or refining your pop-up and line selection. The coach checks your board to make sure it suits your ability, fine-tunes your stance and positioning, and if conditions allow, moves you to whichever beach on the day has the best waves for your level. Two hours is enough time to work through fundamentals, get comfortable in the water and feel real progress before you leave.

Equipment is included: surfboard, wetsuit, lockers and a hot shower afterward. If you have your own board you prefer, bring it and the coach will assess whether it's the right fit for your goals that day. The session runs rain or shine, and the coach (a real surfer, not just an instructor) brings years of ocean time to the lesson. Children from age 6 are welcome, and the lesson adapts to whatever your body can handle that day.
