The boat leaves Newport Marina and arrives at Moreton Island around 9:20am, stopping along the way if wildlife appears. Once you're there, the crew briefs you on snorkeling, assigns your time slot and hands over all the gear you need. When your turn comes, a guide leads you through the Tangalooma Wrecks: a series of shipwrecks now home to corals and abundant marine life. You move through the wrecks at your own pace, with the guide stopping to point out the detail and the creatures around you. If you're not snorkeling, the beach and the boat are both open to you.
After the wrecks, you have free time on Moreton's white-sand beach to swim, sunbathe or climb the famous sand hills. The crew brings fresh bread rolls, salad and roast chicken cooked that morning by local providers. Back on the boat or the beach, you can grab a cold drink and settle in.
