Step-by-step itinerary
Hunter Region tasting tour

- Visit local distillery for tasting
- Guided wine tasting with cheese plate
- Chocolate and wine tasting at cellar door
- Transfers to lunch, dinner, or accommodation
The Experience
Three hours covers a distillery and two separate cellar doors without you managing the route or the driving. You start with a guided tasting of locally made spirits—gins, flavoured vodkas, schnapps and liqueurs—then move to a boutique cellar door where a guide walks you through a selected range of Hunter Valley wines served with a cheese plate. The third stop pairs artisan chocolates with premium wines, each pairing chosen by the cellar door team. Between venues, an air-conditioned vehicle handles the route and a designated driver means you taste freely without managing logistics.
Pickup happens from your accommodation in Nulkaba, Lovedale, Pokolbin, Cessnock or Rothbury (other locations available on request), with the exact time confirmed by text the day before. The afternoon departure leaves at 3:00pm; a morning option also runs. After the tour finishes, you can arrange a transfer to lunch or dinner in the Pokolbin or Lovedale region, return to your accommodation, or continue the evening elsewhere—just specify when you book.
Complimentary bottled water travels with you, and a cooler box stores any bottles you buy from the cellar doors. The three tastings are guided experiences, not self-service, so you move through each one with someone who knows the local producers and can explain what you're tasting.
