The experience

We arrived just as the late afternoon breeze started to pick up, the kind that carries a hint of salt from the Broadwater. The marina behind the Marriott was quiet except for the soft clinking of rigging from nearby yachts. Our host greeted us with a smile and a red carpet rolled out right to the edge of the water: honestly, it felt a bit surreal. The gondola itself looked almost too plush to step into, with thick sheepskin covers on the seats and gentle music already playing inside.
