The wetlands themselves are thick with tropical birds and insects, the kind of dense green you don't see in most zoos.

After the cruise you've got the park to yourself, more or less — five different zones spread across timber boardwalks and rainforest pathways. The Snake Show runs at 2pm if you get there early, but the real draw is the Crocodile Attack show at 3pm. That's where you see the head shake and the death roll, the actual mechanics of how these things hunt. It's educational, not sensational, and the keeper running it has clearly done this a thousand times and still takes it seriously. The park's been accredited by Ecotourism Australia for years, and it's the only wildlife park in Australia that's literally surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage forest, so you're not just watching animals — you're in their actual habitat.
