The experience
You drive your own UTV across terrain most island tours never reach. The route takes you to Casibari Rock Formation in the island's center, where massive diorite boulders, some weighing several tons, sit atop a hill with views across Aruba's landscape and often toward the coast of Venezuela. The Caquito people left pictographs on these rocks thousands of years ago, and a path leads to the top for photographs and perspective on the volcanic forces that shaped the island.
Next comes Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins, where the Caribbean's first gold processing operation ran starting around 1872. You can walk inside the stone walls, chimneys and arches, climb the remnants of staircases and see how manpower extracted ore from the surrounding hills and donkey power hauled it to the mill. From there, the route passes the California Lighthouse on its limestone plateau overlooking the Sasariwichi Dunes (a chance to stretch and take in panoramic views), and the Natural Bridge coastal site before arriving at Alto Vista Chapel, built in 1750 and perched on a hill above the north coastline. The chapel sits on ground the Caquito Indians held sacred for centuries before European settlement.
The tour ends at Arashi Beach on Aruba's northwestern tip, where you can swim and cool off after hours in the UTV. The Arashi Beach Shack serves tropical drinks and snacks. An expert guide in English, Spanish or Dutch leads the group throughout, and round-trip transportation from your hotel or the cruise port is included in the booking.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Dutch.
What is Casibari Rock Formation like when you get there?
Casibari Rock Formation is a cluster of massive diorite boulders in the island's center, each weighing several tons and shaped by volcanic forces. A path leads to the top, where you can see across Aruba's landscape and often toward Venezuela's coast. The Caquito people left pictographs on the rocks thousands of years ago, which you can view while you're there.
Can I swim at Arashi Beach, or is it just a photo stop?
Arashi Beach is the final stop where you jump in and cool off after driving. The Arashi Beach Shack on-site serves tropical drinks and snacks, so you have time to relax in the water and grab refreshment before heading back.
What do I need to bring or know before I book?
Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. The tour is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnant travelers, or those with poor cardiovascular health. Children under 6 cannot participate. The UTV is comfortable and reliable, and the guide handles navigation and stops.
How does pickup work if I'm staying at a hotel versus arriving by cruise ship?
Round-trip transportation is included whether you're staying at a hotel or arriving at the cruise port. The operator picks you up and drops you off at your location, so you don't need to arrange separate transport to meet the group.
