The experience
Five wines in 90 minutes means you move through the tasting without rushing. The walk starts in the vineyard itself, where a sommelier points out the ungrafted centenarian vines (a survival from before phylloxera wiped out European rootstock), and explains how the biodiversity and terroir at the foot of the Andes shape what ends up in your glass. Winemaker Giuseppe Franceschini focuses on elegant, sustainable wines, and the range spans different Malbecs, a White Blend, Sémillon, Torrontés, and a Traditional Method Sparkling Wine depending on which tasting you choose.
After the vineyard, you move into Villa Maria-Luisa, the 1920s estate where Mendoza's wine industry was born. The historic setting frames the tasting itself: light snacks and traditional Mendocinian empanadas arrive with the wines, so you're eating and learning at once. The sommelier guides the whole experience, so you're not left to decode the wines on your own.
