Along the way you'll stop at the Arroyo de los Puntanos, a creek formed by Andes meltwater, and the Manzano Histórico—the historic tree where General San Martín launched his campaign to liberate Chile and Peru. These early stops set the landscape before you reach the winery.

The winery sits at over 1200 meters above sea level in the Uco Valley, where you walk through the production process and taste premium wines made at that altitude. The bilingual guide explains how elevation shapes the grapes and the finished wine. Afterward, you visit the Cristo Rey monument, a hilltop viewpoint overlooking the entire valley. If you've booked the full experience, you then head to the Cordón del Plata range to see the peaks—El Plata, Tupungato, and Volcán—that define the Andes skyline from this angle. The return drive to Mendoza takes the afternoon into evening, with drop-off at your hotel around 7 p.m.

The bus is modern, air-conditioned and heated. Bring cash for the winery, since not all establishments take credit cards; you can buy wines or olive oils to take home (up to six bottles per person in carry-on luggage on flights).
