You’ll settle into a private table at Hualta Winery for a night of live tango, three-course dinner, and unlimited Huentala Wines—all in Mendoza’s heart. With every bite and every step onstage, you’ll feel drawn into local rhythms and laughter. It’s not just a show; it’s a slice of real Mendoza evenings—unexpectedly intimate, always memorable.
We stepped through the glass doors of the Hualta Winery just as the sky outside was turning that deep blue you only get in Mendoza. The air inside was cooler, tinged with something floral—maybe from the gardens, or maybe just my imagination mixing with the scent of wine. Someone handed me a glass before I’d even found my seat. Our host, Martín, grinned and said something about “el ritmo mendocino”—the local rhythm—which made me laugh because I definitely don’t have it. Live music was already drifting in from the next room, soft at first but then you start to feel it in your chest.
By nine we’d moved into this intimate VIP space (honestly, it felt like we were sneaking backstage), each table set up so close to the stage you could see the dancers’ shoes scuffing across the boards. The tango show started slow—one couple moving almost lazily at first—but then it built up until everyone around us had stopped talking and just watched. I caught myself holding my breath during one song. The food came out in steps: first something smoky and salty (I should’ve asked what it was), then steak so tender I barely needed my knife, paired with red wine that tasted like plums and late summer heat. Dessert was gone before I realized I’d finished it.
The best part? It didn’t feel stiff or touristy. Martín kept checking in on us, pouring more wine or explaining little details about each dish—he even teased me when I tried to pronounce “malbec” with an Argentine accent (I failed). At one point, a woman at another table clapped along too early and everyone laughed—including the dancers. There’s this warmth here that sticks with you longer than any performance.
Your evening includes entry to an exclusive VIP room at Hualta Winery for a live tango show, a three-course dinner featuring local flavors, and unlimited red or white wines from Huentala Wines—all served right to your private table throughout the night.
