The experience

Cuesta del Obispo is a mountain pass that climbs out of Salta toward the high valleys, and the tour builds the day around it. You stop several times along the way to get out and photograph the landscape, then continue to the Tin Tin Straight Line, a long flat stretch of road that cuts through open terrain. The drive itself is the route. The stops are where you stand and look.

Los Cardones National Park sits at the end of the climb, and you walk it for 30 to 45 minutes on foot. The park is named for the cardón cacti that grow there. After that, you have two hours free in Cachi village: one hour to eat wherever you choose, one hour to walk around the town itself. The guide and driver handle the transport and the timing. You decide where to stop for lunch and how much of Cachi you want to see on foot.

Hotel pickup and drop-off in Salta are included, as are the national park fees. The tour runs 11 hours total. Groups stay under 15 people per booking.
