What’s included

Your day includes comfortable bus transportation between iconic LA neighborhoods—from Hollywood Walk of Fame to Griffith Observatory, with plenty of time at Los Angeles Original Farmers Market for lunch (on your own), plus free time to stroll Santa Monica Beach & Pier before heading back in the evening.

Someone’s waving us over by the bus outside our hotel—turns out it’s Marco, our guide for this Los Angeles day trip. He’s already cracking jokes about traffic (he calls it “LA’s second language”) and before I know it we’re rolling down Sunset toward Hollywood. The Walk of Fame is louder than I expected—tourists everywhere, street performers doing Michael Jackson moves, and a woman selling bottles of cold water for a dollar. I caught myself grinning at all the names under my feet. Marco pointed out his favorite star (it was Bruce Lee) and then told us about the Oscars at Dolby Theatre. I took a photo pretending to win one, which my sister will probably tease me about forever.

The Griffith Observatory came next—windy up there but you can see all of downtown LA stretched out like a movie set. We tried to spot the Hollywood Sign through the haze (Marco says some days you just get “mystery sign”), and inside there’s this old telescope that smells like metal and dust. Kids were running around pressing buttons on science exhibits while outside some guy played guitar quietly near the steps. I liked that part—a little pause before we got back on the bus.

Lunch was at the Los Angeles Original Farmers Market, which is basically food heaven if you ask me. I wandered between stalls smelling barbecue smoke and something sweet—maybe churros? Ended up with tacos from a tiny stand where the cook called me “amigo” and handed over extra salsa when he heard my accent. We ate outside on sticky tables under faded umbrellas, people watching for a while. It felt like everyone in LA was there for lunch.

Last stop: Santa Monica Beach & Pier. The sun was starting to dip but there were still kids shrieking on carnival rides and couples taking selfies with cotton candy stuck to their fingers. I walked barefoot on cool sand for maybe five minutes just listening to seagulls and waves—nothing fancy but honestly kind of perfect after so much city noise. On the way back Marco asked what our favorite part was; someone said “the tacos” but for me it might’ve been that quiet moment by the water, just breathing salt air with nowhere else to be.
