You’ll get to explore Abu Dhabi’s famous mosque—marvel at its details—then dive into high-speed fun at Ferrari World. It’s a mix of culture and thrill that really sticks with you.
The first thing I noticed as we pulled into Abu Dhabi was how the white domes of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque seemed to glow, even under the midday sun. Our guide, Ahmed, handed out scarves at the entrance and explained a bit about the dress code—he even pointed out where to find free abayas if you needed one. Inside, the cool marble floors felt good after the heat outside. The main prayer hall is huge—apparently it fits over 7,000 people—and you can actually see tiny details in the gold-tipped columns if you look close enough. There’s this faint scent of oud in the air, mixed with a little bit of incense from somewhere nearby. We wandered quietly, just listening to the soft echoes of footsteps and distant prayers.
Afterwards, we headed straight to Yas Island for Ferrari World. You can’t miss that bright red roof—it’s shaped like a giant Ferrari logo and honestly looks wild from up close. The park is all indoors (thank goodness for AC), so you don’t have to worry about the desert heat. I tried my luck on Formula Rossa—the world’s fastest roller coaster—and my heart was still racing when we stopped for coffee at Mamma Rossella’s inside the park. There are plenty of family rides too; I saw kids dragging their parents toward Junior GT while teenagers lined up for Flying Aces. If you’re into cars or just want something different than malls and beaches, this place is worth it.
