If you’re after something more than just sightseeing in Agadir, this quad biking tour lets you get dusty, meet locals along the way, and taste real Berber breakfast under open skies. It’s hands-on adventure with plenty of small moments you’ll remember.
The morning air was cool when we pulled up just outside Agadir, dust swirling around the tires. Our guide, Youssef, handed out helmets and those wraparound glasses—trust me, you’ll want them once you hit the sandy trails. After a quick rundown on how to handle the quad (it’s easier than it looks), we revved up and rolled out toward the open countryside.
The first thing I noticed? The smell of wild thyme mixed with the faint tang of engine oil. We zipped past small Berber farms where kids waved from behind stone walls, goats wandering nearby. The path wound through argan and fig trees—sometimes you’d catch a glimpse of women gathering nuts in their bright scarves. Every so often, we’d slow down to let a herd of sheep cross or to snap a photo of the pale hills stretching into the haze.
About halfway through, we stopped at a shaded spot where breakfast was waiting on low tables: warm bread straight from a clay oven, thick amlou (sort of like Moroccan peanut butter), honey, and mint tea poured high into little glasses. Sitting there with sand still clinging to my boots and sweet tea in hand—it felt like time slowed down for a bit. On the way back, the sun had climbed higher and you could feel it on your neck as we bounced over the last dunes toward home base.
Nope! The guide gives clear instructions before you start. Beginners are welcome.
Wear comfy clothes you don’t mind getting dusty and closed shoes. Sunglasses help too.
