The experience

The activities work by making your brain second-guess what your senses are telling you. You'll walk through optical illusions like the Mexican village facade, navigate spaces designed to confuse your sense of scale, and move through the Xensatorium: a journey that uses sensory disorientation as the main event. The Xítrico Garden wakes your smell and taste. The Heartbeat and Picture This challenge how you see and hear. Some moments are playful (the Pinwheel), others more immersive (the Underground Arteries Labyrinth). The park doesn't announce what each space will do to you, so the surprise is part of the design.

Water and relaxation break up the sensory challenges. Two lazy rivers let you float through the park's landscape: Riverlaxing moves you past cave stalactites with ambient lighting as a kind of moving meditation, while the Sludgerie offers a mud bath. A water slide and walk-through sauna round out the water-based activities. The whole day unfolds across land, water, air and underground, so you're not standing in one type of space for long.

Hotel pickup operates from different locations across Cancun, Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya, so your pickup time depends on where you're staying. Confirm your exact time and meeting point at least 24 hours before. The air-conditioned vehicle includes WiFi on the ride out. You'll have access to lockers and restrooms at the park, and you can bring a change of clothes and towel. Wear comfortable lightweight clothing, walking shoes and biodegradable sunblock. Children under 3.2 feet (1 meter) travel free; those between 3.2 and 4.6 feet pay the child rate; taller children pay the adult price.
