inclusions

What’s included

Your day includes a 3-hour vintage yacht cruise from Golfo Aranci with stops for dolphin watching between Figarolo Island and Capo Figari, plus swimming or snorkeling with provided gear. Onboard you’ll enjoy Sardinian cold cuts, cheeses, carasau bread, DOC Vermentino wine or soft drinks—and there’s coffee or tea too—alongside WiFi access and restroom facilities before returning to port.

You step onto this old 1960s yacht in Golfo Aranci and it’s got that real wooden-deck smell, kind of salty and warm. There’s only twelve of us, so it doesn’t feel crowded—more like a group of strangers who might become friends, or at least share sunscreen. The captain (I think his name was Marco?) grinned at us as he untied the ropes, calling out something in Sardinian to the guy on shore. I tried to repeat it later but honestly, I probably butchered it. The sea was that unreal turquoise you see on postcards but never believe until you’re actually there.

We drifted between Figarolo island and Capo Figari, scanning the water for dolphins. Someone spotted a fin first—I missed it because I was distracted by the way the light bounced off the waves. But then suddenly there they were, three or four dolphins weaving through the boat’s wake. People got quiet for a second, except for one kid who just kept laughing every time a dolphin surfaced. Our guide told us these dolphins hang around here almost every day—he sounded proud, like he knew them personally.

After that we anchored near Cala Moresca for swimming. The water was colder than I expected when I jumped in—kind of woke me up in the best way. Salt on my lips, sun on my shoulders, and someone handed me carasau bread with cheese before I’d even dried off properly. Sardinian Vermentino wine tastes different out at sea—maybe it’s just the breeze or maybe I was hungrier than I thought. At some point Marco poured tiny glasses of myrtle liqueur too; not everyone liked it but I did (it burns a little). There was plenty of space to sprawl out or just stare at the horizon without talking.

I keep thinking about that moment when everything went quiet except for water slapping against the hull and someone humming softly near the bow. You know how sometimes you realize you’re exactly where you want to be? That was it for me—even if my hair smelled like salt for days after.
