With a perfect cone and almost 1300 meters above sea level this 4500 year old volcano can be observed from anywhere, it is considered the most representative volcano of Nicaragua. This hike is a difficult challenge even for the most experienced hikers, however; if you are inexperienced, physically fit enough or your time is very short you can combine the easier trails through amazing viewpoints and avoid the more difficult sections. Even if you can’t reach the top you can walk on the volcano and enjoy fantastic views. This is why this hike is highly recommended for everyone.
