It dates back to the Neolithic period (7200-6500 BC),and it is known to have been the first proto-city settlement in Anatolia.
Boncuklu Huyuk archelogical site which dates back to the Neolithic period is 10 km from Çatalhüyük . 10.000 years ago it was part of a revolution which made settled life in houses and farming a normal part of people’s lives.
