You’ll glide through Prague on a fat-tire electric Scrooser, pausing for stories at Charles Bridge and Old Town Square, adding your mark to the Lennon Wall, and catching fresh city views from Letná Park. Expect laughter with your guide and moments that linger after you’ve left—like that first glimpse across the rooftops.
The first thing I remember is the weirdly satisfying hum of the Scrooser tires as we rolled out from New Town — it’s not loud, just this soft whir against the old cobblestones. Our guide, Jakub, handed me a helmet and grinned like he knew something I didn’t. He called out little facts as we zipped along, but honestly, I was too busy trying to steer without wobbling (not as easy as it looks at first). The air smelled like rain even though it hadn’t started yet, and there were bursts of lilac from someone’s garden near the river.
We stopped at Charles Bridge early on — way less crowded than I expected. Jakub pointed out these tiny statues I’d never have noticed and told us how locals rub them for luck (I tried it, felt silly, did it anyway). There was this moment at Letná Park where we all just stood looking down at the Vltava and the city roofs — someone in our group said it looked like gingerbread houses. The wind up there is sharp but kind of wakes you up. Later at the John Lennon Wall, Jakub handed us markers and dared us to add something. My handwriting was awful but hey, now I’m part of Prague graffiti history.
The best bit? Riding through Lesser Quarter’s narrow streets where you can smell baking bread from open windows and hear church bells echoing around corners. We passed the Astronomical Clock just as it chimed — everyone stopped to watch except this one old man who barely glanced up (probably seen it a thousand times). Sometimes you get these flashes of gold light off stained glass or wet pavement that stick in your mind longer than any photo.
