What’s included

Your tour covers round-trip air-conditioned transport from your hotel, all taxes and fees, use of kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, snorkeling gear, open bar with soft drinks and cocktails, fresh fruit plates, snacks, and a light lunch—all set up so you can just show up and enjoy.

The first thing I noticed stepping onto the catamaran was the salty breeze—warm but not sticky, just enough to ruffle your hair. We kicked off our shoes and sprawled out on the mesh at the bow. There’s something about lying there, toes poking through, watching the coastline slip by. Our guide, Diego, pointed out a couple of pelicans gliding low over the water. He said you can sometimes spot dolphins if you’re lucky; we kept an eye out just in case.

After about an hour of easy sailing, we dropped anchor in a quiet bay that I’d never even heard of before—somewhere behind Guanacaste’s so-called Gold Coast. The water here was clear and calm. I grabbed a snorkel and slipped in; right away I spotted these tiny electric-blue fish darting between rocks. Someone else tried paddleboarding (not as easy as it looks), while a few folks just floated around with cold drinks from the open bar. The fruit plate came out—pineapple so sweet it almost tasted like candy.

Later on, everyone drifted back to the boat for lunch—simple stuff but fresh: wraps, chips, more fruit. The sun started dipping lower and suddenly everything turned golden-pink. It got quiet for a minute; even the crew seemed to slow down and watch. I snapped a photo but honestly, it didn’t do it justice. That sunset felt like it lasted forever—but also not long enough.
